If your laptop is not charging, start by checking the basics. Try a different plug socket and check that the charger is properly attached to your MacBook. Inspect the cable and try another MacBook charger for the same model, if you have one handy.
Check your battery health and update software if you still have a charge on your Mac. If you still have problems, it is time to reset the PRAM and SMC settings. You can also buy another official charger and clean the charge port on your Mac.
