Check faulty lifeboat connector
In 13” and 15 MacBook Pro A1706 and A1707 Manufactured in 2016 2017 with Tochbar, there is a connector called lifeboat to connect the SSD circuit to the CPU so the CPU can read and write data to the SSD chips by inserting the lifeboat cap. If somehow the lifeboat connector cap is not functional, you will get the flashing folder with question mark. Remove the lifeboat connector cap and examine it. Make sure there is no corrosion and clean it if necessary. All the pins of the lifeboat connector and the cap should be free of corrosion or dust.
